Vagabond Ketch

The 47' Vagabond Ketch is a traditional blue water passage maker that was built in Taiwan and has proven itself all over the world.  The Vagabonds are a design from William Garden that balances traditional sea sensible features with grand spaces all finely finished in solid teak.  The vessel has two double cabins, two heads, large salon and great galley.  One will appreciate the expansive deck areas for enjoying an anchorage and a sea sensible cockpit for when underway.    This particular vessel is exceptionally well equipped and has received good care and attention to the priorities.  A few notable features are:

Mechanical & Maintenance

Mechanical:

Engine is a 100hp Westerbeke that easily pushes this vessel at a 7.6kt 2200 RPM cruise while burning about 1.5GPH.

This engine was investigated closely in 2105 which included a compression check and it was determined that the engine was in good midlife condition.  The owner then had a very thorough servicing of the engine this year and it is running well with lots of life left in it. Mechanical services by (Marine Services Ladner, BC.)

  • New Heat Exchanger for the main engine 2015
  • New Exhaust Manifold for main engine 2015
