Layout & Accomodation Information

Construction:

This is a fully welded Aluminum vessel that was professionally built by Stephens Brothers of Stockton California.   Although construction with welded Aluminum is a costly way to build a boat, the result when done professionally is a strong, stiff and proportionally lighter boat.  Given the other construction techniques and materials of the time, Stephens Aluminum construction was the premium choice.  The hull is insulated throughout with rigid foam which can be removed for access if required.  The hull features a full length keel for directional stability and protection of the running gear.

Relevant Notes - The under body has been protected with an epoxy barrier coat. The exterior hull and superstructure was completely repainted in 1999. Both primary engines have been just rebuilt.  The current owner is in tune with the boat and has personally done or overseen its maintenance during the last 26yrs.  Vessel and its current owner sailed from Fort Lauderdale Florida through the Panama canal on it's voyage to Vancouver in 1991, while proving her sea keeping abilities on more than one occasion.

This should give confidence for many thousands of hours and provide added value to the next owner.  These engines have been fitted with smaller injectors to reduce the maximum fuel consumption.  Should someone want the maximum output from the 12V71 engines, then larger injectors can be installed.

Maximum RPM and Speed with the current injectors is about 14-15 Knots at 2000 RPM
