James Neil, CPYB

James has been an avid boating enthusiast since an early age with extensive knowledge of BC’s coastal waters and a frequent commuter to his family’s recreational property in the Gulf Islands.  He has been able to transfer his skills interacting with customers from his successful financial services background and combine it with his passion for the water into a rewarding career in the boating industry.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in English from the University of Victoria in 1989 and was a Varsity and National Team Rower during his 5 years, and competitive cyclist for 20 years.  As an outdoor enthusiast, he also enjoys water sports, fishing, scuba diving, and maintains an active lifestyle by hiking and cycling in the summers and skiing at Whistler during the winters.

He is committed to providing his customers with the best possible service pre and post sales.  His passion for the boating industry, knowledge of the manufacturers, and professional, attentive, and detail orientated approach fits well with the Freedom Marine team and enhances the overall experience for the Buyer and Seller.
