Mavis Lok

Most days when you walk into Freedom Marine’s Coal Harbour location the first person you’ll encounter is Mavis Lok and her sunshiny smile.

Mavis started working in her full-time support position in 2016 while simultaneously studying for a bachelor of arts degree in psychology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

Her favorite thing about Freedom Marine is working with the team everyday, which she says is fun because there’s no drama and everyone is very chill. She also enjoys her station at our beautiful Coal Harbour location and says she can get a burst of energy by just looking out the big windows at the marina, English Bay and the North Shore Mountains.

In addition to her job keeping all the parts moving at Freedom, Mavis is fluid in Mandarin and Cantonese and works as our Chinese language translator. This additional role keeps her extra busy, but she loves helping customers with their boating needs, especially when it gets her out on the water. Mavis recently flew to London with Princess customers and their sales representative to help with onsite boat selection.

When she’s not working or studying Mavis loves movies, hiking and trying new restaurants.
